Nutrient-Dense Dip Products

The New Bitchin’ Sauce Products Come in Two Variations

These new Bitchin’ Sauce products have been debuted by the vegan dip brand as its latest lineup of flavor-forward, nutrient-dense options for snacking.

The products include the Bitchin’ Bean Dip in Smoky Chipotle alongside the new Totally Nuts! dips in Smokeshow, Pickled Pepper and Creamy Jalapeño varieties. The dips are all arriving now at Kroger banner grocers and are expected to be a hit amongst consumers who will start picking up more snack products once we head into the entertaining months. The dips are priced between $6.49 and $7.99, and respond to the popularity of food products with a vegan-friendly recipe that doesn't skimp on nutrition or indulgence.

Founder and CEO Starr Edwards commented on the new Bitchin’ Sauce products saying, "Real ingredients, treated right, are the most exciting thing you can put on a plate. Bitchin’ Bean Dip brings that same spirit to the deli case. Inspired by the slow-simmered beans of an Oaxacan clay pot, we pair pintos with the Chipotle flavor people already love. And Totally Nuts! is a love letter to the ingredient that started it all. Almonds are why this brand exists, and putting them first on the label, in a tub built to celebrate them, just felt right.”

Nutrient-dense Plant-based Dips
There is room for formulations that combine higher protein and micronutrient profiles with indulgent, savory flavors to redefine consumer expectations for refrigerated dip categories.
Ingredient-fronted Packaging
Prominent labeling that celebrates a single ingredient—such as almonds or beans—creates potential for brands to command premium positioning through transparency and provenance narratives.
Premium Snack-deli Crossover
Blurring the lines between deli-case offerings and shelf-stable snacks suggests opportunities for refrigerated, chef-driven products to capture both impulse and planned-purchase occasions.

Where This Applies

Retail Grocery
Grocery banners can reconfigure merchandising and price tiers to accommodate small-batch, premium plant-based dips that drive higher basket spend during entertaining seasons.
Food Manufacturing
Manufacturers capable of scaling nutrient-dense, clean-label formulations while maintaining texture and shelf-life could disrupt commodity dip production with value-added premium SKUs.
Ingredient Sourcing
Specialized suppliers emphasizing single-origin nuts and beans, plus value-added processing like roasted or smoked profiles, might unlock novel product differentiation for brands.
